Gwen says: “I use this worksheet with students as I start teaching about scales and key signatures. Students fill in the new key each time they learn a new scale or come across a piece with a new key signature. This way, they can see the patterns right from the very start – but it’s not overwhelming. Students are excited to progress to each new key as they can predict what it will be and how it will work!

My students have named the friendly flat and sharp “Sharpy and Flatman” – feel free to come up with your own fun names for them!”
