Easy Piano Duet: Ballerina
£4.50
Ballerina is an easy piano duet for young beginners to be played in the F major scale hand position, although no B flats are used.
The Secondo part is a music-box style accompaniment which would be enhanced with use of the sustain pedal. This part could be played by an older sibling or fellow student – a good opportunity for ensemble playing.

Description
Ballerina is an easy piano duet for young beginners to be played in the F major scale hand position, although no B flats are used.
Students take the Primo part where the melody uses mostly a dancing broken-chord pattern throughout, around half way the left hand takes a leap across the right, and the last line is staccato where perhaps the ballerina dancing on their tiptoes preparing for a final bow or courtesy.
This duet has some ‘putting music theory in to practice’ learning opportunities such as F major scale and key signature, broken chords 3/4 meter, dotted minims, and dynamics; and the miss of legato and staccato.
The Secondo part is a music-box style accompaniment which would be enhanced with use of the sustain pedal. This part could be played by an older sibling or fellow student – a good opportunity for ensemble playing.
This is a lovely duet for end of term concerts or perhaps an introduction to the wonderful world of ballet.
