Description

‘Into the Air’ was written, along with ‘Into the Darkness’, to be learnt a line at a time and provided short weekly engaging pieces for my students. Once all lines are fluent the student has an exciting and complete duet to play with you! There are 3 versions included at different levels of difficulty designed to suit a variety of students in your studio.

‘Into the Air’ focusses on staccato and legato touch. Imagine the movement of birds, hopping on the ground, foraging for food or nesting materials and then gliding smoothly through the air! Levels 1 and 2 are in a five finger hand position, with level 3 moving out of position. The rhythms used increase slightly in difficulty across the levels and hands together is introduced in level 3.

Backing tracks at practice and performance speeds for all levels are available on YouTube.
