Description
Scale Buses is a resource for helping pianists to remember scale fingering patterns, inspired by an idea from renowned pianist and pedagogue Ilga Pitkevica.
“1234” is a bus and “123” is a car. The pattern is always car-bus-car-bus or bus-car-bus-car: you never get two cars or two buses next to each other. There may be one or two additional fingers at the top or bottom of the scale depending on the key, for which extra number signs are provided.
Print the resource on to white card and colour in the vehicles, or print on to coloured card, then cut them out. I recommend mounting the cards on crafting foam or extra thick card to prevent them falling down between the piano keys and getting lost.
1 printable page and 1 page of instructions.
