During my 30 years of teaching I've been lucky enough to teach students aged between 3 years old to 85 years old. One thing I always find time to do in my lessons is piano duets, these develop so many musical skills especially ensemble playing and are jolly good fun! Piano duets in my view should be easy, fun and accessible to everyone learning the piano. Most of the duets I have published have grown from little musical ideas from my students, often when we’ve turned to some light improvisation in the lessons when books had been forgotten!
