I enjoy a combined career as a piano teacher and music editor based near Reading, UK. After graduating from Oxford with a first-class honours degree and Masters in Music, I worked in music publishing in a number of roles, including as Music Editor at Oxford University Press. For around 15 years, I have worked as a freelance editor for ABRSM, editing or proofing hundreds of leading educational publications, including Piano Exam Pieces and Teaching Notes; Theory exam papers; and numerous workbook series including Discovering Music Theory, Scales Explorer and Joining the Dots. I have DipABRSM qualifications (passed with distinction) in both piano teaching and performance, and I also enjoy typesetting music. I currently teach around 40 students, both in school and in my home studio.
